LA FLAMA award

La Flama, from the Vic Quartet Academy and the Federació de Joventuts Musicals de Catalunya, aims to rekindle the first drive given to new Catalan chamber ensembles.

With the support of Gerard Claret and the Federació de Joventuts Musicals de Catalunya, the teachers of the Quartet Academy, Abel Tomàs and the Quartet Gerhard, will chose, each in his category, the ensemble with the best outlook and growth potential from among those participating in the Quartet Academy. The organisation reserves the right to declare the prize void. If this should happen, the jury may award two prizes for the same category.

The prize will consist of a first presentation concert at the Petit Palau of the Palau de la Música Catalana in November 2025 and the inclusion in the Xarxa de Joventuts Musicals de Catalunya 2026-2027, which will allow the winning ensembles to perform throughout the country.
